About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established client for an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead a 3-bed Children’s Residential Home supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

This is an excellent opportunity to join a fully operational, Ofsted-registered home with a stable and experienced staff team already in place. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high standards of care and driving positive outcomes for children and young people.

Deputy Managers looking to progress into their first Registered Manager position are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the home.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, child-centred care.
  • Maintain compliance with Ofsted regulations, Children’s Homes Regulations, and quality standards.
  • Support, supervise, and develop staff through effective leadership and mentoring.
  • Promote a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for children and young people.
  • Monitor care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding practices.
  • Build positive relationships with external professionals, families, and local authorities.
  • Drive continuous improvement and positive outcomes across the service.

Requirements

Essential

  • Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent).
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Deputy Manager within a children’s residential setting, or previous experience as a Registered Manager.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Excellent understanding of safeguarding and Ofsted requirements.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom.
